South Hills Church uses curriculum that encourages active, “hands-on” learning for children and offers programs for all children birth-5th grade during all worship services. We believe that children are capable of learning great truths and that that learning can be fun, relevant and applicable to their lives.
Follow us on Facebook to keep current on our theme for the month as well as the weekly challenge and giveaways!
If you have older kids, check our middle school and high school information pages.
We have a loving team of trained volunteers who have graciously offered their time to teach your children and show them the love of God.
We have two classes of 3-5ish year olds during both worship services.
For both worship services . . . Elementary kids will join their parents in the Worship Center for the first part of the service. Just before the sermon, Pastor Phil will excuse the children, and they’ll scurry off to the lobby to join their teachers and head back to their class rooms for some great Bible stories and activities planned just for them! Parents will pick up their children after the service in their classrooms.
For families with young children who are still nursing, we have a cry/nursing room at the rear of the Worship Center where you can sit with your child behind one-way glass in a comfortable rocker.
For families that prefer to stay together, you are welcome to bring children of all ages into the worship service with you. If you find your children to be too fidgety to sit still for more than an hour there is a family area in the Mezzanine with comfortable couches, toys, books and games for the kids where you can site as a family and watch the service on closed-circuit television without having to worry how much noise your children make.
